When did the Packard Twin Sixes go to detachable cylinder heads? Is this a 1st or 2nd series car? JWL

Note: I think this is a 2nd series Twin Six (2-25 Runabout), if so the detachable cylinder head engine would be correct.

Ungainly body style w/ very tall windshield, Packard knew better. I'll speculate it was made from a car with a shot body.
Shipping over water is quite inexpensive

Thanks, O_D. This was my thought too, but I was not sure Packard carried this design feature over into the second year. A search of the Packard Model Info seemed to answer my question, but you have now verified it. There is a wealth of information on this website if one take the extra effort to look it up. JWL

That 56 Patrician indicates that it is a well traveled car.

A Bell Kettle Detroit dealer tag on the trunk, what looks like A Texas inspection sticker on the windshield, and it currently resides in New Jersey.

It doesn't look too bad for a car with 90,0000 on it, if I'm reading the odometer correctly. I wonder what number it is.

Wow, the maroon/tan and black '53 Clippers are steal for that money! Especially the maroon/tan. These both look like you could jump in them, turn the key and drive down the road. Both of those would be great starter Packards for someone interested in collecting.
