An original 1940 120 business coupe (with a V8 according to the owner). Sounds to me he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

Hi

Next time someone says there are no reasonably priced Packards available, point them here. For $8,000-$9,500 buys some nice cars:

A handsome '47 Clipper Six sedan:

A '48 Eight two door, might be better than the pictures:

A '51 200 Sedan, ready to enjoy:

Finally, a '54 Clipper sedan complete with continental kit, looks like a brother to Big Kev's Clipper.

cars in california are always somewhat cheaper and in seemingly better(less rust)cond than in the rust belt or east coast due to the amount of preserved cars out there .You have to add in an inspection or a plane ticket to go look and transport back so for us- add 18-2500 to all those prices.

I think the '55 Patrician looks pretty good for an original and I doubt that it would be cost-prohibitive to restore, if for no other reason than to have a nice touring car. The same can be said for the '48. These cars sure look a hell of a lot better than some being presented.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

Hi

A few portly Packards:

Three '50 models, including a long wheelbase, cheap:
http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/4623287456.html
Anyone else considered grafting the fastback from a two door in place of the notchback to create a fastback limousine....what can I say, just the way my mind works.

A '49 Deluxe Eight, also cheap:
http://flagstaff.craigslist.org/cto/4609945829.html

A '49 limousine, has both 22th & 23rd style side trim:
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/4599525166.html
This could be a fine start if its a solid, rust-free body.

A very nice '49 Deluxe Eight, ready to enjoy, just write a substantial check:
