New FB postings:

Just posted today: 1953 Patrician. Super straight and clean original car in Galahad Green (Scheme K). Appears to be in driveaway condition with nice wide whites. Paint, chrome and interior all look excellent. Ad states engine has been rebuilt. Seller asking $9,900 which I think is more than fair for a car this sharp. Michigan:

1951 200 Standard Club Sedan. Appears to be an older amateur restoration. Some details incorrect, like the interior. Car looks like a decent driver and has stick shift. Seller asking $13K. Minnesota:

1940 Super Eight 180 Touring sedan. Black with dual side mounts. Complete frame off restoration done to an extremely high standard. This car must have had a literal fortune spent on it to make it this nice. Highly detailed undercarriage and engine compartment. Interior is stunning in the correct wool broadcloth. A magnificent Packard and undoubtedly one of the best existing survivors of this model. Seller asking $45K, which must be far less than the amount invested. This car is a potential AACA National First winner. Fort Smith, Arkansas:

1953 Clipper Deluxe Sedan. Nice restoration in the car's original color of Carolina Cream (Scheme T). Paint, chrome and interior all look excellent. Has Ultramatic. Seller asking $16K. Springfield, Missouri:

And finally, another guy trying to clear his yard of rusted out Packards:

Three 1948-1950 Club Sedans. Two are 23rd series and one is a 22nd series. Not sure of models but they are all shorter 120" wheelbase cars. All three are pretty rough but have many useable components and at least two of them might be rebuildable with significant effort. Possible street rod material. Seller asking $2,500. Not sure if he means for each car or all three. Wants to sell all as a unit but is willing to separate. Cars located in Richland, WA. Have a look:

1949 (22nd Series) Custom Eight Sedan. Totally original survivor car with very well-preserved paint, chrome and interior. Odo shows 92K. Solid black. Car was last registered in NJ in 1982 and was recently removed from over 40-year storage. Car has been gone through and now runs and drives great according to the ad. Has Overdrive. Think this is a good deal on a desirable postwar Packard for only $8,950. Bangor, PA:

Looks very interesting. Do you think the paint is really original? I would suspect that it has been refreshed, at some point, but cannot say for sure from the pics

I looked at the photos again and I really think that this might be a completely original unmolested car. Hard to tell from photos, but I'm not seeing any overspray on the moldings and the door jambs certainly look original. I think this one would be well worth checking out if you are looking for a Packard from the bathtub era. The Custom Eight is the one to have in a sedan. I tend not to get too excited by four door 22nd series Standard or Deluxe Eights unless they are in really exceptional original condition. The Custom Eights are great driving cars. Knew a few people in my old club who had them and they all swore by them as road cars. Great on the highway with that big 356. I have had two 22nd series cars, but they were both Super Eights with the 327.

It would be very tempting at that price if it were closer! While not listed as a feature, I believe I could see the ElectroMatic control valve in the engine compartment image.

The front one is worn down and it looks fine underneath.
