If you really wanted to sell this, at least remove the tarp. Or perhaps what we see if all that is left of it!

So later in the comments the seller says:"5k is the price. If it doesn't get accepted it will be crushed."

Such BS......I almost want to post "call me when you crush it, I want to watch".

55 Deluxe in Columbus, OH. Current bid: $160½

5522-3564 BA 13

ebay.com/itm/187747027297

Interesting to note this has the early outside door trim. Mine, #4220, has the later trim. So the switch happened sometime in that range.

I am starting to think that this might be a scam posting. I asked him a couple of very basic questions about the car yesterday and he never responded. The whole thing sounds fishy. One bad photo, unrealistic price, threatening to crush the car, won't respond to questions or post additional photos. I would stay away.

Three Packards now on Copart.com:

1950 Deluxe Eight Sedan. Car has been street rodded with a modern V-8. Painted a very loud lime green color. Nothing really wrong with it that I can see. Car runs and drives. Current bid is $4,350. Has a Buy it Now price posted of $6,900 which might not actually be a bad deal. Auction going on now. Boston, MA area:

copart.com/lot/80472985/clean-title-1950-packard-4-dr-ma-north-boston

1949 (22nd Series) Deluxe Eight Sedan. Rough car, probably only good for parts at this point. Needs everything and is not running. Lots of surface rust, bad chrome and a trashed interior. Body panels do look pretty decent, so there are a lot of good parts here. Auction going on now. New Jersey:

copart.com/lot/66822185/clean-title-1949-packard-dlx-nj-somerville

1940 120 Touring Sedan. Car has been totaled in a collision and is only good for parts. Very heavy front end damage. I think that this car was on their website sometime last year and has been reposted. Too bad because it looks like it was a pretty straight car before being wrecked. Upcoming auction. Boston, MA:

The 1939 Packard Ambulance for sale in Easton, PA is now on Facebook. I did contact the seller, and he was nice enough to send me a bunch of additional photos. It is really rough, but it is a real prewar Henney ambulance. Seller advised that there is no data plate or title with the vehicle. It does look complete but would be a huge undertaking to restore. Not sure about what he really wants for it, but because the seller did respond fairly quickly, it appears to be a legit offering:

See below for the additional photos I was able to obtain from the seller.

Just curious, what would be the approximate value of this 1939 Packard Ambulance (in pics above) if fully restored? (Not that I want this one, or any ambulance.......)

If fully and properly restored, they fetch far more than a similar sedan but it would be very costly to do it. A couple years ago, a like-new fully-optioned 1954 Henney-Packard Landaulet Nu-3-Way went for around $200K as did a 1941 hearse in immaculate condition. The limousine-style coaches such as this don’t typically fetch such high amounts. If I were to put a value on this one as it is, I would say $500 to $1,000 at the very most and that is presuming that the frame hasn’t rusted away.

That said, I don’t see anything in the photos that indicates whether it’s an ambulance or a hearse. My 1941 had no rollers, yet it was a hearse, because they were originally on an extension table that pulled out through the rear door but it was missing. I do see where a siren was once mounted but my 1941 had holes for one too even though it was clearly a hearse.

It looks as if it may have been painted black and white, which might indicate that it was an ambulance rather than a hearse. (?)
