Welded up the antenna holes on both side. My welds are just OK. I got the backing patches tacked in, and then ran out of MIG gas. So my welds were a porous.

But they are solid. Added little bit of brown paint to blend in back into the patina.

Also, I ended up making my own backup light bracket.

I think it's pretty close.

Checked you blog, only one picture which didn't provide any insight as to what top it is. Yes, any picture of the box would be great.

Last this I did today was strip and paint the seat frame base. This was pretty nasty. Old paint, rust, grease, rodent droppings. Bleck!

Since it has so many nooks and crannies, I had to use a wire wheel and copious brake cleaner to strip it. I'm glad its hidden from view as it has lots of pits. But a couple coats of semi gloss black hides a multitude of sins.

Once the new to me seat tracks arrive, I can then put it back together. Also I'll need to source a seat return spring or find a suitable replacement. This appears to use a singe spring between the back of the frame and the floor.

Edit: If anyone knows the part number for that return spring, please let me know. I've haven't been able to locate it in the Parts List.

Understood. What was wrong/incorrect with the one you ordered? I'm just asking as a 12 top is different in size than a 115/120 top.

From page 86 of the 1935-1941 Parts List in the Body Equipment Section there is an illustration of the spring I think you want. It shows as 30.929. Then on page 88 is the breakdown of two part numbers with a string of digits any code writer would be proud of! 199798 & 327258 are the two part numbers.
