I can now offer my official to PackardInfo and for including your '49 Super Eight Victoria Convertible Coupe in the Packard Owner's Registry.

Those who take notice of the little Recent Chat window at the upper right of screen will see that Fred had some difficulty getting his entry to stick but persevered and got there.
More for sticking with it Fred. I love the photo.

Well, the photo was taken just after one of our Florida cloudbursts while driving to my first show participation. As the first drops fell I quickly pulled over to see if my top would come down and by the time I managed that task I and the car was soaked and the rain had stopped. We then pulled into the bonus area (non-judging) of the AACA Winter Meet here in Naples and got the top down again and pulled the chairs out to relax a bit and someone suggested a picture. It was still dark and gloomy out so the colors don't shine but it was a pivotal moment in my dream of getting my first car back from my youth. I couldn't afford to keep fixing it back in the 50s and had to let it go for scrap. That action has been bothering me ever since and I had to fix it.

Here she is after a complete do-over as I'm picking her up from the shop. FINALLY.

Oh, that 1931 touring sedan is magnificent. What a glorious piece of machinery. I wonder how much it weighs?
