They ought to bring that and engine-turned dashes back. Of course, if money is no object and you really want woodgrain, there was a show about building the Bentley on TV the other night. Spokesman said if you had a favorite tree or piece of lumber at your estate they were more than willing to make it into your dash or vanity or use on other selected appointments. Of course there was a wait while it dried and the base price of the car was around $250k but that would be minor details. No mention of engine turning though.

Holy Smokes Howard - I'm going bankrupt with the Caribbean. You want me to buy a Bentley??
Seriously, the engine-turned dashes were beautiful in my opinion and would be simple to reproduce.

Tom, The chrome for my 34 was done by a guy named Ed Bleustein. I will try to remember to ask Tom Rassmussen for his contact info, or you can call him. I put him in the directory under services (Odyssey Restoration). Tom

Hi Tom,
Did you use someone local (Chicago area) for plating the headlights?

Pack120c,
I had taken them to a local place that did some other chroming for me but they don't do much on the repair side so I check around here and on AACA and found another place. I just don't understand some of the cost like shipping. It cost me $10.36 to send them the headlights and few other pieces. For them to ship them back at $70 seem ridiculous. I was told on the phone one price when he finished them and then I get the bill in an email and saw the the other add ons. I was not informed of all the other costs. I will be calling them back once I get the headlights just for my piece of mind on the other costs. These things better be pristine.

For that price I would expect them plated in Platinum!
