I understand the proper plug and coil wires for a '30 are gray lacquered cloth. Does Merritt sell the correct items? Very hard to tell from the photo online. Kanter is cheaper but the wires are described as black.

Based on a 1933 Packard purchase specification I have, gray lacquered hi tension wire is correct for 1933 and 1934, not sure its correct earlier and I strongly suspect it is not correct for 1930. In the past I bought it in bulk from Restoration Supply though I no longer see it listed in their catalog.

Plugs themselves should be Champion C-4, if that's of any help to you.

I just checked with AutoLite, their current recommendations for spark plugs for 1930 Packards:

7/8 thread - #3076
18mm thread - #388
