Aug. 11th - I attended this small local car show in Boyne City, Michigan, only about 25 cars in attendence. I couldn't believe that these two Packards were there. The '32 Twin Six was in rough shape but the doctor-owner found it with the engine completely rebuilt but not reassembled. The motor looked like new and the owner said he had had it up to fifty miles per hour and it runs great. The doctor's other car, the gray car is a '27, you guys will identify it better then me. Amazing what you run into in Pure Michigan.

I think the patina on the Twin Six gives it a lot of character. I would hate to see this car restored. It is much more interesting in its current state. Preserve it.

Hi

Thanks for the pictures. Heavens, if I walked into a barn and found a '32 Twin Six Club Sedan in that condition which I could buy and have the engine rebuild finished, I'd have to be picked up off the floor! That is one sweet Packard!

The '27 is a Fourth Series Six, either a Model 426 five passenger sedan or a Model 433 seven passenger sedan. Either way, those were their bread and butter models.

I agree w/JW - leave the Twin Six the way it is!

I'd even switch those WWWs to blackwall tires.

Drive them, enjoy them, you can always go to a car museum to see the trailer queens.

Don't see these kind of cars out enough! Nice to see.

Needs to get the chassis oiler working and the shocks serviced. Love that the chrome shell option was kept (very popular in 32-34).

Paint will protect the metal, otherwise rust will grow underneath and the paint will fall off. Hopefully it won't get the usual circus wagon treatment. Although I would trade the wheels for a painted set.
