It is extremely hard to tell the difference between the Isotta and the Duesenberg, but the Duesenberg body is (I think) quite a bit more "chiseled" than the Isotta. It is impossible to see any differences based on Don's photos.
As I look at Bill Williams "Motoring Mascots of the World," I can tell a little better. With the proper base, the Duesenberg mascot stands up more vertically, while the Isotta mascot is angled forward/downward. In other words, the arms of the man in the Duesenberg look to be pointing at about 30 degrees up, while the Isotta man's arms are almost parallel to the world. .

West, it appears to me that the Duesenberg style differs noticeably in that it has a second little "winglet" protruding below the main wing which I don't see on the IF style. Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Also the posture of the Duesy one seems far more erect.
In any case they are both quite stunning. For Packard I've always had a particular like for McCartan's "Adonis" and lament that it's incorrect for my 34, otherwise I'd have one on it a flash.

Both have that second "winglet," it's just hard to tell in the Sommer photos. The ornament arrived in my mailbox yesterday. I'm very happy with it. I'm still asking questions, but Randy Ema (Duesenberg historian) says that both the Isotta and Duesenberg used the same mascot (bought from Nel Millor, a N.Y boutique, for the Grand Salons) Attach file:  (167.25 KB) (132.37 KB)
