Huge, tremendous speed difference here in the country of Texas. Really great.

Agreed, yesterday was terrific but this morning @ 5:50AM PDT I seems to be having a terrible time with the "waiting for packardinfo.com" message very persistent. There's 14 users on and it's taking an average of 30-40 seconds after clicking before anything happens.

Kev, Since the upgrade it was loading the pages very fast but this morning it is very slow compared with other sites. Something isn't quite right.

I agree yesterday was working great today taking long time to load and kicks off while moving between subjects not a complaint just FYI

Same as above two posts, this morning. Slow to switch between pages and frequently have to, "refresh," on my browser. Page appears to load and says, "done," but there's nothing on it until I hit the, "refresh," button. I, at first, assumed that it might've been my local provider because of the weather conditions here in beautiful downtown Central Flrorida (the drought is definitely over) but, evidently not. No complaint. Like someone else wrote, I can wait indefinitely for my daily fix from www.packardinfo.com! Just for your info.

My ISP upgraded some server OS software in the middle of the night and forgot to turn everything back on when they were done.

So I restarted everything and it looks to be back up to speed.

Sorry for any troubles. Just like when moving from one house to another, you encounter weird unforseen issues, and having boxes all over the place for weeks!

There was a configuration issues with my bigkev@packardinfo.com email address. It should now be fixed. Any emails sent prior, I did not receive. Just thought I would give you all a heads up so you didnt think I was rude in not replying to your emails.

The Packard Directory is now back online. I found a new module and I hacked it to fit in with the website. It has some nice features that the other one did not.

Guscha, thanks for bringing that to my attention. I think that happened on the database export. I noticed that it looks to have happened only on certain posts. I'm thinking that those posts contained a special character that was unfriendly to the database import/export process. Going forward that should not be an issue. The old server was a shared server, and because of that they only allowed you a few ways to export data from the database engine. So I think that is where the problem came from.

But I will dig a little deeper and see what I can find! (or can't find)
