Dear 1940-120, silver halide photos can loose quite a bit going from transparencies to digital positives, as these have, nevertheless I hope you can get something from them. Two are at the Lehigh Concours Packard Celebration in 1999, and 2 at the Warren Centennial. My favoriteis the one at Lehigh with car moving under power. The man seen driving the car at Lehigh and in other pictures with the blue cap is (was?) Lehigh's curator/caretaker for the car, sorry but I've forgotten his name.

Just by way of comparison to show how much Packard progressed by 1901, here's a photo of John Hovey's 1901, a car right here in the neighborhood. Two years ago we actually met it on the road enroute to a local show; it's also got a successful London-to-Brighton run to it's credit.

I know I'm digressing, but here's another vintage Packard in the neighborhood, Howard Schaevitz' 1902, another veteran of many tours.

Thank you the trip down memory lane with the pictures. You are to be commended for you devotion to the Packard cause. Sometime I would hope to be able to thank you in person. I will be posting some questions in the future that I hope you will be able to explain, that is when I get back to doing something on the vehicle.

thank you again for all you do.
