Exactly! Sorry about the pic that is sideways, but any trained Packard eye should pic that up. The Grease Catcher thing is the wrong way around.
Greets. Mike

Finally got an evening back in the shop. All the hyd Lines are finished, and my brake cylinders and brake Hardware arrived. Cycle are in, but I have a question about The Hardware. Originally I had one Orange and one yellow spring on the Upper side of The brake shoes. The Kit i got from ebay has only Orange springs. The yellow spring is also slightly thicker 0,2 mm. Is there a difference?

Thanks for the advice Jeff. I thought I remembered reading that somewhere. I got all four brakes together with the new cyls and new hardware except the old yellow springs. The rear drums are all sandblasted, just have to do the front drums and paint them, grease the front wheel bearings and I can put the drums and wheels on!
Next week I plan on putting the eingine and trans in the frame. I am debating on if I install the clutch and trans while the engine is hanging from the crane, or if I drop the enging in the mounts, then install the clutch and trans... Here are a few pics from last night. The one spring on the drivers side brake I need to bend a little bit.

On vacation now, and was the last two days working hard on the packard. Engine clutch and trans went onto the frame, and I also painted the brake drums. Today I hope to get that JHZ(/&&(DH!!XX throwout bearing return spring mounted, and wheels on the chassis. Then perhaps driveshaft, fuel line, exhaust....OK, we'll see how far I get today.
For anybody putting a bellhousing and clutch back together from zero...First the bellhousing on motor, then flywheel, then clutch fork, then!!! disk and pressure plate! I went through about 4 together and apart cycles before I got it right, but now it is together....Also broke two pressure plate to flywheel bolts by over-tightening and had to take the flywheel back off and drill out the bolts on the drill press. Had a few set backs, but still got things together. Starting to look like something! Have to clean the dust of the engine and take some beauty shots Wow, and looking back to one year ago...

Sounds like one of those days ... Quote: ...I went through about 4 together and apart cycles before I got it right... Mike, be proud of you. 4 cycles are miles above average, as the enumerative combinatorics suggests. engine = 1 bellhousing = 2 flywheel = 3 fork = 4 disc = 5 plate = 6 6! = 6*5*4*3*2*1 = 720 combination possibilities. If the chances to combine two elements are fifty fifty I sometimes need three attempts.

Danke Gusha! Today I took the yoke out of the rear axle, and the seal I had bought is too big in OD and too small in ID. Need to get a seal asap. Rats!!!! 2inch id and 3,1095inch od. Had to use a 4 foot extender on the 3/4 Drive ratchet, but it came loose.
Today i got The T-O bearing return spring in, rear wheels and drums on, and half the exhaust in as well as flywheel lower cover plate.
