I don't have a 51-4 to measure but the 47 shackle looks like Mal's and the training manual pict and is 2 1/2" +/-

We found out that 2 1/2" shackles are just right. the leaf spring is not hitting the frame anymore which means its one step closer to the road. we would like to thank all of you for the suggestions and help in eliminating the problem.
