RL - The ones on my 115C convertible coupe come straight out and extend about 2-inches past the cowl wall. Don't know if this is correct from the factory as my car was restored in the early 1990s. Maybe Flackmaster can help us with this question.

I concur. But really, who drives their car in the rain anyhow...now, using the pressure washer wand at the local car wash, that'll get past most any 1937 seal. Be sure to aim the drains onto the cylinder head so you can make a mess of your detailed engine.
