engine oil in today, lubbed the grease points on the clutchand front end, and emptied the gas tank and inspected the inside. Bottom of tank is clean and shiny, but top is a little rough. Might do the por15 gas tank treatment. Also re-organized the workshop so I can start on the front fenders hood and trunk lid. Stripping and primering those parts is going to be the next big task. Good sunday in the garage! I think the little spring for the parking brake I will be able to rig something up from a standard ~3 inch generic spring. Have to see what I can find at the local harware store....

Can somebody tell me where the Overdrive lock out cable goes through the firewall?
I found a can of plasti dip at conrad, the place gusha suggested. Will use that on the heater hose holder, and hope I can find some other uses for that stuff.

Thanks! The circle on the upper left of the Photo is the speedo cable. Looks like I will have to drill a new hole there below the solenoid for the lock out cable.

There is a knockout plug there waiting for you to use it. Even the firewall insulator will have a perforated spot waiting.

Before you open up your new can of Plasti-Dip, look around for anything that could use a coating of rubber on it. Once the contents are exposed to air, it has a very short shelf life. Old tools that need new cushions on the handles are good candidates to use up left over material.
The 22nd series cars have plenty of clamps to dip in the rubber. I managed to save about half of mine. The rest were too rusted to mess with. Soaking them in lacquer thinner makes it real easy to remove the old rubber. Jeff
