I want to thank Jim (39Super8) again for spotting a delaminated sidewall on the Rt Ft Coker radial on my 55 Pat. This turned into a NON mishap as after the car show on Saturday, I drove into Bullhead City and got two new front radials (the Lt Ft was also delaminated). The Cokers on there were over 10 years old, so draw whatever conclusion you will from that. As to whether they would have made the 130 miles back to Pahrump is anyone's guess. Better safe than sorry.

Any plans to rally in Laughlin this year 2013?

Maybe one of these years, our friend Roy will bring his 1956 400. Also, in a year or two, I can bring my 1956 Panther. In the meantime, we'll be happy seeing Paul & Sue Ann's 1956 Executive and everyone else old and new that shows up.

Not sure if we are going to do one this year over Veterans day weekend. There are other regional Packard events happening in the PHX area that weekend and we are pretty sure we wouldn't get enough vehicles and people to meet the minimums with the casino.

So we are looking as possible it at another time, or trying to coordinate with one of the local chapters so we can get enough attendance to make it work out.

Thanks Kevin. I suspected that some of the Phoenix events would drain participation. I really enjoyed the event last year and look forward to another gathering whenever that happens to be.

We were wondering if it was going to happen. We were planning on going to both events. We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going again. We are in Phoenix and would not mind doing both. Hopefully I'll have the 53 Patrician back together or I can find what the knock is under the hood of the 40 160 or I can always drive the old reliable 55 Clipper, but we will look forward to when the next one is.

Did the whole matter of a Laughlin Get-together get dropped for this year? I was unable to make it last year and hoped I could do it this year.Not hearing any more about it, I had to guess it wasn't going to happen.

Yes it not held this year, perhaps something we may revisit in the spring. There were already too many Packard events in the general region already going on, and we feared the amount of cars would be diluted because of that and we wouldnt make the minimus we needed for the hotel.
