Jack said he is using MRC204 - SF6. I am waiting on a response from where he is sourcing.

Ok, I broke down and dug my bearing books out of the basement when I use to do predictive bearing maintenance and bearing failure analysis.
Long story short, bearings are manufactured to metric specs, so it is easier to find when you break it down. Avanti posted: "The T85 snout measures .590 so the bearing ID would need a couple of thou clearance? The bore in the back of the crank should be very close to 1.840 and is likely the same on all the V8 engines. The bearing definitely has an interference fit to the crank. Gosh, this is fun. If I could have just retrieved the old (but mint) bearing, this would not have been a problem." The MRC 204 is a 47mm OD bearing. 47mm = 1.85039 Here is a pic of what I came up with which is an offshore MRC 204S. $12.00 Attach file: (9.34 KB)

I would have thought it needs to be a sealed bearing?

If you need rubber seals, order 6204 2RSJEM or, 6204 2ZJEM if you want 2 metal shields.
20 x 47 x 14 mm = 0.787402 x 1.85039 x 0. This is for the 204 bearing. Are we sure, 204 is the correct bearing we are needing?

204 bearing iz no gonna work. The bearing bore is 1.787 and the pilot shaft is .590. My bearing should be here from Kanter Sat.

My bearing is here!
OD=1.850 ID=.590 & maybe 2 thou? It's a little hard to get a good reading. Time to have at it.

Can you do me a favor before install and examine the bearing for #s and lettering stamped on the edge and post them here? This bearing was an oddball and a search did not provide a match. Is this a NOS packard left over? It was suggested to me that since a bearing with the same OD but larger id is available that a bushing was pressed to the id to achieve proper id. Did it look to have a bushing installed?
