Hi Jack
We love the original 55' 56' Packard 2x4 air cleaner and wanted one that was are own. Its made of aluminum, I made an upper and lower plenum and welded them together. The air cleaner baskets or what ever you want to call them are made of steel with 8" K&N filters. The center plate and Lincoln emblem we had made using C&C machining.

Beautiful design and workmanship. Given the current prices of Caribbean/Eldorado/Chev 2x4 air cleaners, you could go into production.

FWIW, the open element K&N allow quite a lot of intake roar to come back into the cabin. If driven like a hot rod, it will sound like one. Depends if the owner wants a quiet ride or a roarty ride.

Well the body work is all finished. Now it's time to take all apart and start prepping the frame.

What hood ornament is on this car?

I'm not a Hotrod guy, but you have done a nice job.

Owner bought the hood ornament from an antique store an it was marked as a 47 Desoto.

Nice! I see this thread is in modif. discussion and not project blogs. Do you have a project blog on this vehicle also?
may I ask your intention for extending the belt molding?

I put the car in modif. discussions because it was't original. Was't sure I should put in the projects blog. The belt molding will be lengthen on the door and shortened on the quarter and there is a molding that extends onto the truck lid.

Beautiful. I especialy like the headlites and tail lites.
Try a set of front and rear Van-Auken bumpers.
What are the rear tail lites from??
