I added a few of the Books that I have to the Bookself.

I just added the Hemmings Motor news Book of Packards. Also I believe that the Automobile Quarterly "Packard, A History ...etc". is now back in print.

I've crossed off those titles that have since been added - with credit to the contributors. Yet, I also see some titles now listed in the feature that I forget to mention at the old Packard DF and several that I wasn't even aware of. At this rate, BigKev may have to add a counter!

i have the limited edition red leather book and i will add it soon.

actually i have just about every book on that list....my grandfather obviously loved reading about Packard too! ;0) luckily i got all the books after he died. i also have several old 50's repair books. etc....

Thanks, Hank, I was hoping we'd get some info on alternate editions. You have a real keeper in that one. I have heard that spine on that edition was prone to split - after a lot of use.

This might be a good time for me to ask BigKev if the ISBN is the key field. Since the ISBN is unique to the edition, that would let us list multiple editions with the same title. A problem could arise, however, for titles that went through more than one edition, but with no ISBN.

When it comes to Packard books which I have many of, I consider the Dammann and Wren book the best. I bought the book in 1999 while at Warren.

This is the most complete book I have seen on having pictures of every model that Packard produced. Right now Big Kev has my copy of the book, which at times I miss when doing research work on Packards. Like I stated before Kev keep it as long as you need it.

The book Packard by Denis Adler I also have.but not the best book around on Packard.

BH: The spine on the Dammann and Wren isn't prone to splitting with heavy use. I know that for a fact as my edition has been used very heavily used over the nine years that I have had the book.

i think he is talking about the red leather edition has the splitting issue.

Guys, if you leave comments on the books, please try to add something in regards to the content, or merit of the book. That was it helps someone trying to make the choice of whether to buy the book or not.

I am hoping the comments can be kind of like the user reviews that are left on the Amazon book site. I know those really help me in making a decision on buying a book or not.
