I just finished another lamp project. This time it is Packard Themed. The shade is a small wheel cover from a 50s car. Not sure which year, but guess 1951-53. I bought the wheel cover at a Texas Packard Meet several years ago with idea to use it in a lamp. Its time finally came. The center piece is a replica oil can. Also bought this several years ago from the Packard Club, I believe. The can is free on the center tube and can rotate. The base is a rear axle housing cover from a 120B. I was going to finish and paint the cover, but decided to just clean it up and show off the 80-odd year old patina. I added some acorn nuts to the base to add a bit of sparkle. It now sits on my desk, shining away.
