that seems to make sense,
I'll clean out the slinger and hopefully its just blocked and that's what is causing my problems. It'll be a few weeks till I get to this as the clutch is away getting reconditions as well as a few other bits and pieces. Nothing major.

Assuming the slinger return hole is clear and the leak is truly from the rear main and not the throw-out bearing oiler, it would seem the only other explanation would be that the slinger is being overwhelmed by an amount of oil far is excess of what it was designed to handle. Excessive rear main bearing clearance and/or excessive oil pressures might be contributing?
