I would like to add my 1940 Packard limo to the owners registry but I cannot seem to find the vin number anywhere. The decal on the firewall is completely faded away and not readable. Any info would help so I can get it added. thanks

G'day Ratrod Ray (SasquatchMystery),
to PackardInfo.

Rather than a '40 Packard yours looks to be a '38. No little side grills beside the main grill, while only '38's had a decal and a trim strip in the middle of the roof. Apart from those identifiers can you further advise the engine, 6 or 8 and if an 8 does it have an aluminum crankcase? And the wheelbase? That info together with more photos may provide enough to more closely identify your Packard. Looking forward to seeing it in the Packard Owner's Registry.
