The frame is very pretty but too glossy, not authentic. Perhaps that's what the owner wants?

Yes, customers spec's served with a complete list of paint codes. It will fall under Resto-Mod with his mild changes

Wood Grain Vinyl Wrapping test on 1949 Pakcard 8. Just laminated over old defects and all no cleaning or prep using fingers only, no wrapping tools used. Goal was to insure recess details. No problem, time to strip all the pieces and do it for real.
Heat is your friend to conform to the curves and recesses.

Excellent results. Exactly why I used vinyl on my dash. And yes heat is your friend. I had no tools either, but the hands God gave me. Looks like you have good hands as well!

It is nice. Is it the same RVinyl product Hank used and if so, are you going to cover the window moldings too? If you do and are successful I hope you give a tutorial for the next person. I had no luck getting the vinyl to flow around the two bottom corners of the 47 molding and resorted to the GrainIt method. That could have been due to the operator and not the product but probably worked out better since the dash had already been done with GrainIt and at least they match.

Thank-You Hank very much appreciated. For the final wrap, I am going to make a crevice tool that conforms to the window details to see if I can get a deeper impression.
To be honest, I must share that YOU and the way you approach solutions on your projects has pushed me to think outside the box and toss traditions approaches to the side. I have 3 1949 Pack 8's to wrap for Pack 2017. I am going to talk with the client today, He wanted Mahogany but I think the Dark Oak looks much better IMO. I am off to the shop for the day, I am teaching a Thai exchange student how to build a 1954 Caribbean. Ill post the entertainment this evening. Thanx again.

Kurt, our Thai Exchange Student had a field day building the 54 Caribbean.
This car is slotted to go to Barrett Jackson in Arizona. We will be detailing the crap out of the engine, We are sanding and smoothing the engine casting. Look how that cast head shines after 5 min of clean up.
