Some members following my shop on facebook has ask me to add some of our updates here even though they are not Packard. I hope no one minds and at least enjoys the different work.

Our 1924 Studebaker is coming along. The wheels and steering wheel has been totally restored. Each piece of wood was inspected, hydrated ( a tad dry after all these years) hand sanded, and finished to a high luster. We are still waiting for the babbitting work to be completed on the rods, so we can begin the engine assembly.

The other hot commodity is our 1959 BMW Isetta Limo. We are about six weeks from completion of total body off. Car will be white over Bubble Gum Pink. The car is going to a 16 year old girl for her Birthday next month. Good thing I lived in Germany back in the day as all the manuals and specs are in German. It is funny, I found this car listed on Ebay a few years ago. It has the distinction of being #10 of the Top 25 Worst cars on Ebay. That makes it more of a personal mission.

Over 1/3 of the car was missing including 1/3 of the engine and transmission. I had to go back to Engineering prints to identify what was missing and what I needed to order. $5,000 Euro later, I have all the parts. It was amazing the casting date on the pistons were 1959 and there is literally zero wear in the pistons and cylinders. The pistons still have all of their wear indicators without a scratch. Hone and new rings and we are good.

I like the Isetta, I think that is the first time I've seen the actual chassis under one. Hope to see more pictures.
