My best guess at this point is that it is something for maybe commercial equipment such as maybe sirens or police radios etc.
Possibly a relay of some sort used for 6v to 12v conversion accessories such as a 6v radio still operating in a car converted to 12v. Maybe just hang on to it for a while until u can find out what it is. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Keith, have you never seen the movie "Back to the Future"? A flux capacitor is the wondrous movie magic device that makes time travel possible. It's inventor even drives a Packard so you know it has to be a quality item.

Well ,after numerous searches I found that this is NOT a Packard part. In fact it is a Mopar part. It fits numerous Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth models 1984-89. Part is a electric choke control with resistor part number 4049777. It is no longer available.
If anyone needs this I will make then a good deal. Thanks
