Reproductions of the small plunger switches that fit in the rear of the transmission of the 6th Series cars (and possibly earlier models) were available some years ago.

Does anyone know of a current source or have one surplus to their needs. Its about the last missing item to complete a friend's beautifully restored 640 Roadster.

With a little work to adapted there r many Plunger Switches available to replace the orig switch which is not that great by todays standards. Not the best judge in the world can c it and i wont tell.

David, Are the Sixth Series switches the same as 7th Series?

Packardbarry, I agree, if we can't find a correct one , Restoration Supply Co has a switch that could be adapted (ELE012 page 7) but it looks a little bulky. Fortunately we have the switch on my 633 to copy.
Rob, no the 7th Series switch is different.
