I still reflect back occasionally on the 1999 Centennial, what an absolutely exhilarating experience!! A one-time opportunity never to be repeated. And our forever thanks to George Hamlin who was the primary organizer, thanks again George! Nearly 1000 Packards as I recall, with Packards International refusing to join but having their own affair just a few miles away in Cleveland - many of us found ways to mingle anyway. Packards from all corners of the US including Alaska and some from overseas. And cars many of us didn't know still existed like the front wheel drive V12 prototype. And the huge participation by owners of the brass era Packards. The parade thru Warren, the Magnum Opus, words just come up short trying to convey the thrill of it all.

PS, video recordings by Reel to Reel Studios of the July 4th parade and the Magnum Opus are available on the PAC Forum for viewing. Select "Packard Club Videos".

I recall seeing Old #1 at Pebble Beach (in 1999?). Watched it as it was driven off of the field. Also treated to viewing the prototype V12 there too, but in a different year. Great memories.

I attended and kept my sticker on the windshield.
The Pennsylvania inspection sticker is from 1968. I had a cop tell me he was going to remove it. I told him what I was going to remove. He left.

Twenty years on, I still enjoy the photos and memories of that once-in-a-lifetime event. It was total immersion and absolutely delightful, Every day that week encountering rare Packards I'd always hoped to see. The icing on the cake were all the models of every year in attendance.

I also attended the show day for both the centennials of Pierce-Arrow in 2001 and Franklin in 2002. I wouldn't have missed these events for anything in the world.

Steve, I was a fool for not going to Buffalo for the Pierce Centennial, but our paths perhaps crossed in Syracuse for the Franklin event. Quite an event, that's where I saw my first Franklin V12s.
