DMAN, One of the contributor to the Curbside Classics posted a group of family photos with cars through the years, including this one taken in Virginia in 1954 of his aunt setting on the fender of a well-used '36 120 touring sedan.
At eighteen years old, dull paint, threadbare roof insert, dented fender and sealed-beam headlight replacements, this 120 was still giving the service it was built to do. Steve

From The Old Motor's Four Fun Friday Kodachrome Car Photographs #193, the owners of a '48-'49 Custom Eight convertible Victoria enjoying a fall foliage tour. Must have been a cool day, top and windows are up.

If you look closely, you'll see a 1956 Packard Executive 2-door hardtop (with dual rear-mount antennae)-Dover White. And a 1956 Packard Four Hundred-Scottish Heather and Dover White. They're not exactly on the street, but in one of my driveways. And my Challenger convertible was 4 years old at the time of this photo (bought it new). Sticker on the RH lower corner of the Challenger windshield said I'm a Packard Club member. Seems like yesterday, but this was a long, long time ago...

This nice photo was posted on the AACA Forum, Pre-War Photo section by participant Steve Hagy.
It's a 1928 Packard Custom 443 seven passenger touring car, body style no. 310. The Fire Chief of Dallas, Texas certainly had a nice expensive car befitting his important position. The sign down to the right reads "Auburn Dallas, Used Car Dept" must have been that for the Auburn dealer in the area. Steve

Recently collected from various on-line sites: A two-tone '48-'49 club sedan, with roof racks. A '51 Patrician 400 in snowy commuter traffic. A '58 Packard hardtop in Sumner Tunnel, Boston traffic. Note the newsboy hawking papers in the street.

This looks similar to OD picture above just about 20 years later.

I've never been in a tunnel that has had or maybe needed such a contraption so is the police in the catwalk car still being used in the Holland tunnel or was that another something that seemed relevant at the time but long since abandoned.
