I am trying to take the bumpers off my 34 that has outboard stabilizers.
My problem is I don't know how to get the chrome caps off the top and bottom. The front have small ones where the rear have large ones.
I see a small hole on the bottom but it looks like a drain.
Can someone tell me how to remove them?

Look more closely, the "hole" you see at the bottom of the fronts is actually a recessed hex for an Allen wrench. The caps are cast steel with a spun brass or stainless cover.

If the rear bumper ends are larger but not fluid-filled, they are from a Super Eight. Only the Twelve really has a sophisticated stabilizer (with hydraulic fluid and suspended weights), Eight and Super Eight bumper ends are essentially just decorative.

Some '34 Eights have single piece bumpers; others like mine have 2-piece bumpers with a lap joint under the center decorative plate. If you have the 2-piece units, removal is far easier if you diassemble the center first. Installation is easiest doing the center last. I'll be curious to hear if yours are one or two piece units.

Found the hex on the small one on the front bumper.
The problem now is the rear, tried small hex but nothing fit.
It is a one piece bumper.

An incorrect rear bumper, sadly not all that uncommon these days. It appears to be a Super Eight bumper and I'm not very familiar with it in terms of removal of the end cap. If Packardbarry or Tim Cole see this thread I suspect they will have an answer.

Typ Bumper End Caps that came out of the Factory were:

Eight
1,3/4 dia

Super
2,3/4

Twelve option on Eight and Super
4,0

As stated already the ends had spun on or crimped on brass caps over steel caps that were threaded and took a stud between the top and bottom. The bottom had a hex to accept an Allen Wrench. If ur lucky the female hex is still good and will work with a wrench but ive found many rusted and thus nogo. This means destroying the cap and getting a vise-grip on the steel cap and typ heat.

Years back someone was making new chrome caps. Dont know if anyone is doing it now. If not your looking at machining up some.

FYI;
Here was the problem, they had a chrome plated brass cap epoxied to the 2 3/4" threaded dome that had a 3/8" hex. Had to heat and epoxy let loose.
Could then unthread the inter dome. For the next owner I drilled out the cap so the hex will fit.
