Here comes the story of Silas Carter Jayne, "...a Chicago-based stable owner who, following his death, was implicated in one of the most notorious crimes in the city's history, the 1955 Peterson-Schuessler murders of three young boys. Jayne is also suspected of involvement in the murders of several other people, including his own maternal half-brother George..." acc. to wikipedia.

And this is the creepy connection to the Packard world: "...The bodies were put in a station wagon, and disposed of. The original forensic investigators in the case believed that marks on the bodies had been caused by the floor mats from a model of Packard station wagon that had been owned by both Hanson and Jayne in 1955..."

Dave, go to this bar and finish the job but be so kind to bag a couple of liquor bottles. Therafter we'll pin all on the car and imprision the Packard to calmly admire the beauty all night long.

That Bugsy Siegel stuff sounds like crap. At that time he was part of Murder Inc. and had no use for a registered automobile.
