Is there any kind of a software package or feature that could be added toa website like Packardinfo.com that would automatically translate one written language to another??
Such a feature might attract many more participants world wide and greatly broaden our knowledge repository.

I believe that Google Translate has an API that can be used but, of course, it (or any translator) would work only on text but not on anything in images. A user can also just paste the URL of a page into Google Translate which would then take care of the text translation and should also translate the menus and anything else that is not an image. I run an international site for a '50s Peruvian singer and use Google Translate all the time, sometimes with amusing results but still usually understandable.
For example, a bit of the text in the image (after running it through OCR software that itself may have taken liberties) it gives: Quote: for hard, everyday work endurance SO ZhG; IMPORTANT IN THE MACHINE, AS IN AN ANIMAL ORTA- CARS AND ENGINES PACKAGES ARE EXCELLENT IN THEIR ENDURANCE.
