I have a trunk support from 1940 110 that looks just like it.

Yes, a trunk shelf support. I do now have then installed. Unfortunately, I thought they belonged on the chassis so they were painted black instead of Packard Cream like the body. When I need to touch up body paint, I'll redo these. What was this shelf made of? I can make one out of plywood, but I don't see anywhere online that has this information. I can create a pattern to build one, but the actual construction is still in question. Any ideas??
Again, I do thank everyone who has helped me in this.
