Trying to find out if this is a Monroe pump.

Made by Eaton Corporation. Very similar to Ford, IHC, AMC, Studebaker applications so parts are easy!

Is this how Packard did this.

Expect using bushings is probably a decision made by Eaton rather than Packard. No idea if the bronze shaft bushing or the large outer bushing the rotor spins in is what the SM calls a rotor pocket bushing but from the way inspection describes them plus no replacement part numbers listed for bushings, if worn they were not supposed to be field replaceable.

The rotor fits good in the bushing still.
The bronze ones I still have to see how the shaft fits. I would think Must be after market bronze ones. Since those pumps are not made any more. I might ask this place down the hill that repairs these see what they do

Ok. So put my rebuilt power steering pump on.
Turns off the belt. But doesn't want to Turn with belt. Engine running. Do they get hydraulic lock?. No problem with the one that sat for 50 years. Only thing I can think is bushing for rotor is bad. Taking it to the place that rebuilds this stuff see what they come up with..

Replaced bearing with an skf Even though that's suction. The oil cones up the cap bolt. So if not tight oil can by pass filter. That's what I can up with to check pump. The speed nut I made will bottom out on that fitting so should not leak passed.
