It must have been during the early months of 22nd series production because there is a Feb 1, 1949 service counselor article saying the R11 was in limited use. There is no actual date given in that bulletin nor can I remember reading anywhere else when the first unit was actually installed.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/SC/SC-VOL23NO2.pdf
