So,
Does it fit a 56 Clipper, or Packard? Did you try Gerry at Packards Sw?

What makes your drums shot?
How do you identify a shot from a useable drum?

Typically they are not safe after having been turned several times as the wall gets too thin to properly dissipate heat. There was so specific rating for Packard drums but the rule of thumb is .060” so if 11” drums measure 11.060” or larger, they need to be replaced. I’m sure one could go a little larger without a problem but many shops won’t turn them larger.

Don, you are correct, brake shop will not touch them, too far gone.
LTRD- deep grooves in the drum, measures to 11-1/4", the other one has a raised portion in the middle. this brake set up had split linings....that's different main steering control arm for Bendix is getting replaced. better one on top new upper outer A-frame pin needs replaced replacing lower A frame Passenger side, shock was broken and must have been dragging for quite some time, wore the hole out Max Merritt has drums. but I may just keep looking, they are asking too much $ me thinks for drums turned out to the Max already. on a positive note the pipe hangar works well for holding the suspension And there may be help from some Canadians on the rear brake drums front, time will tell. if not I will reach out again to you fine folks down south. I want to get it rolling to move it outside to clean the underside of the frame and body. Do you ever go on The Packard Club Facebook page?
There is a 56 Clipper parts car in buck lake Alberta Canada. Not sure if that helps you at all. facebook.com/photo?fbid=10159134137368630&set=pcb.2882709002010832
