question?

in preparation of putting the front suspension back together. should this eccentric bushing have some grease put on the outside of it?

How to properly adjust and install the new bushing in the idler arm. Can’t find anything in the manual

The Service Manual specifies 110 to 125 ft-lb torque for the bushing nut in the idler lever (Specifications Section).
Nothing is mentioned about the position of the idler arm with respect to the mounting bracket but I believe that it makes sense to bottom out the bracket in the idler lever nut and then just back it off until the bracket reaches the most obvious mounting position against the frame rail with the steering centered. That should allow enough leeway for full travel of the steering linkage.
