Dave (O_D), the seller calls it 1938 Packard Eight "Saloon", well, at least Packard is correct and the front window seems to confirm 1938. The ocean blue beauty queen comes without vehicle number and the paint that covers its thief-proof number started to flake away. I think it deserves a place in your cabinet of curiosities. To register it in the Kingdom of Belgium, the thief-proof number <423504> embossed into the firewall was stamped into a plate too, that is fixed at the frame. Now it is double-safe, but nevertheless part of a comedy of mistaken identity. The website where the below shown images originate has two lists: a) -> offered cars and b) -> sold cars The Packard in question, which is a RHD with New Zealand roots occupies both lists. images source: oldtimerfarm.be

Today the introduction of a rare 1954 Packard Executive Sedan, one of 65 ever built. The large car is up for sale in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

VIN: 5451-2008
Thief-Proof: C76784

I asked the seller to search for a Henney body number but there wasn't a respective number plate.
Howard (HH56), follow the link to find a couple of pics of the Frigidaire A/C. If they aren't suitable, I could aks for more.

Look again more closely at the theft-proof number, the first character is a "D", not an "O". By 1955 the dies were really begining to wear, the stamped letters are much less crisp and defined than even 1954.

Theft-proof #s beginjing with a zero would be 1929. 999,9XX was reached at the end of the 23rd series and prefix "A" began with the 24th series. Then in turn, prefix "B", "C", and lastly "D". For reasons we don't know there were a couple of very early 1955 cars with no theft-proof numbers, and at least one that reused a prior number from the late 1930s. Perhaps these anomolies were the result of the internal chaos resulting from Packard having to reaasume on short notice their own body production - at least that's my own speculation.
