I don't recall if was across the entire junior line or not, but some 1942 junior models (the convertibles for sure) used senior tail light assemblies. The answer is probably in the parts books which you can reference yourself.

PS - I meant to limit my answer to the conventional bodies cars.

From all the information I have from my 110 and the Blixt 180 formal and forty five plus dealing with 42's all none clippers used the the 41 senior tail light. The 42 light differ only with the upper lens on which the lines only go part down the lens. You might spend some time in the parts book as O D suggests. As the 41 senior lights have become very expensive you see a lot of 42 convertible with junior lights. Some say that for 42 Packard just used what was left in the parts room.

This was the first year for turn signals as std. equipment on all non Clippers (except model 2055 a 160 7 pass. business sedan) Using the 160/180 2 bulb taillight assembly made the switch to t/s much easier....The change in the upper lens groves might have something to do with
light direction or brightness????
