Can anyone help me out on determining which gauges I have on my '37? I need to order a sending unit, and apparently there was an either/or on S-W or AC -Delco.

Any hints on determining which I have?

Found it in the shop manual. 37's are AC Delco; 38 and up are SW.

I can confirm that; I learned the hard way - I ordered a sending unit for my '39 and was sent an AC Delco unit. It reported backwards on my gauge. (i.e. empty when full/full when empty) Luckily I bench tested it before installing and sent it back for exchange. Saved a ton of work! Chris.

Had a new fuel pickup and sending unit built by Kevin at KM Lifestyle (https://mykmlifestyle.com/) for the '37.

Installed it yesterday, works like a charm. Workmanship is outstanding.

Interesting sidebar though. I bought the replacement tank a year or so ago on ebay, stated it was a '37 120 tank--I have a 115C. Turned out to be a 115C tank all along, so the original mounting straps worked just fine.

Weather here today is still in the 30's and this week we'll be back in single digits at night, so Amelia will stay on the lift another week or so for some additional tidying up before spring.

Good to hear the new sender did the job. Did you by chance happen to test or measure the sender before install so if anyone else has questions about the ohm range on their sender good or expected numbers can be quoted.

Unfortunately no, I did not--I just tested it for function.
