I can't place the rear fenders... At first I thought 48-53 Chevy, but they are to short for them.

They look like Studebaker M-series ('41-'48) pickup truck fenders.

I much much prefer Ross' versions.....much classier as a Packard should be.

Paint scheme K - very authentic except for the striping.

Very rare to see a car painted authentic stock schemes. Correct radiator shell to boot. If only it was a 29 or 30.

I wonder what is going on as regards the fenders, radiator hose, and that thing on the firewall?

The situation would be a lot better if there were more cars like that.

Redoing the stripe might be risky though.

That is what I thought they might be Studebaker M series pickup fenders. They were the same front to back on those.

Must be the ones around the window openings and belt line, done in a rust color.

11th series cars had a double stripe series as shown in these period pictures of a new Packard that was totaled. These pictures look to have been taken with a Graflex Speed Graphic camera to capture these details.

That was one great camera.

And notice the fender treatment. It seems that Packard wasn't always consistent, but there is a memo floating around that specifies a double stripe.

Yes, the speed graphic was a great camera! I used one in the Army in the late 60’s for all sorts of work, including many promotion photos, and once for a shot of a parade ground in Heidelberg, Germany.
