I attempted to change the oil filter today and ran into an issue.
Not sure if the motor has mismatched parts or what. But no way the oil filter canister is supposed to be touching the vacuum advance on the distro. I think the canister must be from a different year's car (perhaps earlier). I really need to find a local Jag guy.

I've confirmed with someone on one of the Jag forums that the "Filter Head" in the car is from an MK-I and not the MK-II 3.8L motor I have. The correct filter head actually points the filter backward toward the firewall.
So I need to either find the correct filter head or order a spin-on filter adapter, which is then shorter than the current canister.

Do you still need pictures of the headlight wiring routing.
The driver's left front by the steering gear box. That wire cuts out through the splash guard to the headlight. The right hand wires hit a set of Junction points at that same point in front of the steering gearbox. Then it traveled on the rear side of the crossmember up and out through the splash guard by the shock tower on the right hand side. The right hand splash guard on my 37 touring had a hole drilled through it for the wire to pass through from the factory. I know part of the front end on my car was disassembled because these three wires on the passenger side had been cut spliced and taped.

Thanks for the info. The wiring is all done now. I'm currently missing the inner fenders, so once I get those, that will help!

Larry,
Here is the ebay link to order those 37 hood supports. They come in stainless steel. I painted mine black and added some rubber sheet in the channel. ebay.com/itm/195186952613

Interesting device. Looks like it was designed to have a small u-bolt installed over the radiator support rod but the holes are drilled oddly for that.
