Took the Packard out in the snow today as the dealership took longer than expected on our daily driver, so the ride inhad lined up was no longer available.

Even in 30f weather with light blowing snow, she ran like a top, once warmed up. When she's cold in this weather, the carb is pretty laggy coming off a dead stop. But once warmed up it was just fine. Luckily the snow has been light, so they haven't started to salt the roads yet.

We tend to forget that cars of 50s and 60s were used in all type of weather. They were designed and built to be used as daily transportation. Every once in while in winter I like to take old car for drive they seem to run better when its cold outside. Hard part is finding day when its cold and salt has not been put on roads

Le sigh. So I had to bite the bullet and order a new tire. I once again ordered from Summit Racing as then its free shipping, yet still shipped directly from Coker.

When I ordered from Summit, it was telling me a 3 month back order. So I was glad I discovered the tire issue now and not at the start of the spring/summer driving season. Also, the tires have nearly doubled in price since I originally bought them 5 years ago.

The new tire showed up in less that 9 days. So that's a plus.

Kevin, the Coker tires are tubeless radials in the vintage size with the look of the bias ply tires, correct?

Finally got the replacement tire mounted. So the 54 is ready for spring.
