I suggest that you also look for the defrost equipment.

Dirt, crud, grime, detritus, flaking paint, Minor surface deterioration (rust), spider webs, insect carcasses, dung, grease, wd-37, and other unknown foreign substances that may require acid dipping, pressure washing, radiation, or other chemical neutralization processes.
Also note since you are in California, this item will be appropriately labeled with the proposition 65 warning to address your cancer concerns, as well as the Flackmaster warning that 86 year old Packard parts carry appropriate tetanus warning, and cautionary statements about inserting ones fingers or other body parts into spinning fan motors, sharp edges on metal parts and other such appropriate advisories such as caution should the part be found anywhere where it should not be, the kitchen sink, breakfast table under the bed, etc. Sure you want it?

I also have a restored ready to install later 37 unit that many believe is 38-39, but was introduced late 37 when Packard ran out of the above round version. Its in the service bulletins as such..

I think I should be safe enough. I've had multiple malaria shots, I've inhaled enough lead fumes from lead loading & filling that Kryptonite doesn't have any affect on me. I also work with HgCdTe, Bromine and plenty other hazardous metals/ materials, so a little bit of iron oxide is like candy to me.
BTW, I was inquiring as I wanted to make sure those areas weren't starting to rust through and compromise its mounting or in case I needed to add metal to strengthen it. I think it's best to ask any and all questions so there aren't any surprises. Quote:

It’s rust free if you didn’t pay extra for it.

@Flackmaster: I was wondering if the barn cat did a cat scan on it as well? 😁
There's no rust left on the green truck!
