Folks have reported having issues running non-GL1 in their transmissions.
Sometimes things can be too slippery. Napa stocks GL-1 90W Gear Oil.

Thanks BigKev. Just ordered some 90w GL1 thru NAPA. Plan on using it in the transmission, eco drive l, and steering box. I have looked all over my unit and can find 2 oil level or fill plugs and only one drain plug. Even when referring to the manual it shows a 4th plug which I don't seem to have. Is this possible?
Also, what weight rear axle oil would be recommended. Manual says to see dealer. LOL FWIW, I have tried using the search section but it seems I have better luck just using Google.

The transmission fill and drain plugs are both on the right hand side, fill towards the rear of the housing and drain on the lower side at the front.
Overdrive fill plug is on the left hand side of the housing and the drain is at the lower rear of the housing, just in front of the round rear support.

Is it possible not to have the eco drive option? After further investigation I see no actuator/solenoid or anything. What I thought was the fill plug for it feeds directly into the transmission.

Most cars did not have the Ecodrive (Overdrive) option. Take a picture of your transmission and we can tell you.
But generally you would have the knob under the dash. The transmission would be almost twice as long.

No overdrive. Just a standard transmission.

This thread has been good for me as I'll be changing fluids in the near future.
For the 90w GL1 from NAPA, did you have to buy the gallon size? That's all I'm seeing. I'd just rather not buy that much if I only need a quart. Wouldn't be an issue except storage space is tight.
