Finding the female fitting in 5/16 seems to be the issue since that size seems to be a not heavily used item and appears to be discontinued. If you can find some old stock like this fitting where you normally shop or are getting the others you could eliminate the coupling and extra adapter. Space is somewhat of a consideration since there is a fairly short distance between the tube end and pump to route the hose to avoid kinks. Time you find and get all the materials, with your time plus their cost and the freight it would probably be as cheap to buy a finished hose from Max.

Yeah no kidding. I like it if I can do something that will help others, though. And the piecemeal set swivels on the fuel line side, which is helpful if you have a stuck fuel line connector (not me since I'm replacing all mine anyway).

See if your local Napa can get the parts and save on the shipping.

Is there a way to do that aside from just searching up the same stuff on the Napa website?

Fortunately the shipping for this was only $4 but that's a good tip for the future.

I tend to find the stuff on Napa to be so much more expensive that RockAuto is cheaper even with shipping. Obviously unless you NEED it next day.

If my local Napa doesn't have it in the store, they usually can get it same day or the next morning. Obviously being near Chicago they have access to a large regional warehouse.
