That looks nice. I have the same mirrors, but my doors already had holes drilled into them. So I mounted on the doors. I wish I could have put it on the trim but I had to cover the existing holes somehow.

Looks nice and similar to the originals although the originals had no screws visible and, of course, they were on the belt molding as you already know. Are the ones you used of the type being sold on eBay?

Hi Don,
I purchased my mirrors from an online shop here in Germany Oldtimerbedarf
Yes, one screw head is visible, but they are close enough for me.

I installed the passenger side mirror, and while it is not much good while driving, I think it will help me while backing up into the one garage that is tricky to get into with three doorways I back through....I will not intall a passenger side mirror on the Caribbean. I think the Pass side Mirror Was not often installed originally.
One minor thing I would like to improve....I get some Wind noise from the A pillars, or the vent windows. I can't be sure of the source, but will try driving tomorrow with clear tape over this joint between the roll down window and vent wing to see if that makes any difference.

I have an Aurora radio with bluetooth and the wife was still not happy with the Sound quailty before....so I used that as an excuse to replace the 5.25 inch speakers in the kick panels and put a small self powered sub under the seat. Now I feel almost like a teenager doing stuff like this, but I could also say this is "state of the art"
You can hear it, but don't see it.
There are also 2 6x9 speakers in the back deck.

Here is a picture of the 5 1/4 inch speakers I have in the kick panels. For the last few years the speakers were behind the fabric I have on the kick panels, but that blocked a lot of the treble from the speakers, so I got some generic grills and painted them green to match the interior, and I think it looks reasonable.....I went for a drive with the family, and we were all happy that the kids could sing along to the songs they like.
Enjoy them Packards!

I’m in the midst of doing the opposite and when replacement panels couldn’t be found, I had a local upholstery shop make new ones. I was surprised to see that the shop had an unrestored 1956 Packard 400 in Scottish Heather & Dover White sitting out front.

For your wind noise, there is an easy way to check where there might be a gap by cutting some strips of paper and closing the door or vent onto one of them in various places. If the paper pulls out easily, ten ere is a gap! Just go all around all the doors.
