I talked with the 526 seller. He says it runs and drives but needs tuned up, some wiring connected, etc. I believe it's a pretty freshly done project. Belonged to his father who passed away.

This seems to be a recurring theme with Packards I am seeing for sale. Elderly owner either passes away or becomes incapacitated and the family just wants to dump the car. Not a good scenario for the future of the Packard hobby. More cars hitting the market and a steadily shrinking pool of potential buyers. A well restored 1928 526 at this price is a screaming deal. Hope someone takes advantage of this opportunity.

Yes, I have a friend interested in it. I would go check it out for him, but I won't have time for at least a week.

Just had to post this one. Classic bait and switch. Seller posts picture of a beautifully restored car at a bargain basement price, then shows you what he is really selling.

1928 526 Sedan project car. Asking $5K. As a fully restored example of this model apparently sold for around $15k, I don't think this is worth the asking price. In fact, I don't even think that this car is realistically even restorable at all. It is just a pile of rusty parts. Located in NJ:

52 Patrician for 35k. Very nice car but that's a very optimistic price as well. No interior pics.

The 1952 isn't a Patrician. Note the toothless grille and style feature on the rear fenders which only junior models had.
