You can get new steel or stainless fuel lines already made and bent properly from Classic Tube. They come coiled to save on shipping but apparently it's easy to straighten them.

Yeah just cut it in like 2 convenient places then patch it back together to use as a template. The copper nickel line bends easily, so you just put a soft bend in it in the middle of the frame rail section to get it to poke through below the firewall and over the rear axle area, or whatever, and straighten it, while having made the difficult bends outside the car.

The brake and fuel lines were originally installed on the frame before the body was installed.
I've seen guys manage to redo them as a single piece and tetris them into place. I find it much easier to just do the very long lines as two pieces with a flare-nut union in the middle.

Hello everyone! Long time no talk. Sorry I haven’t been on and keeping updates as of lately, lifes been getting to me. We also recently had some misshaps while trying to jack the car up, in which the bumper jack slipped and hit Jim full force in the stomach. He is doing ok now and recently, we finally got the pesky gas lines off! Now, unfortunately I got 30 year old gas on myself (whoopee) which did make me incredibly sick for some reason.
Our next step will be finding a new route for the gas lines, since we cannot use the old route. I don’t know what we’re going to do for the brake lines either. Till next time, Packard Fam! Thanks for tuning in

Why not?? It should just go along the frame rail. You were going to buy a replacement tank, right? Or were you going to store a fuel cell in the trunk?
