Mine has slop

The only thing that adjusts height is that shoulder bolt . 9/16 nut.

You have to hold window up way up

Pull that bolt up. Loose

Then tighten nut.

Make sure those upper stops are loose.

The original motors are slow.

The left side motor seemed to be sluggish when compared to the right side. I've have the motor plus linkage out of the car. I need to remove the gear in the motor's housing, but it doesn't want to budge. I'm assuming that the sprocket gear/shaft is pushed into the gear inside the the worm gear. What's the secret?

By gear/shaft I'm referring to the part on the left side of the housing and assume by worm gear you mean the gear on the right side of the housing. Not sure what you mean by tap it out. I have tried to remove the gear/shaft by pulling it towards the left to no avail.
